I too am amazed by the staying power of this market.

One thing I've wondered is when will the markets hit the saturation point, the time when everyone who wants to be "fully invested" is, because they have put every cent they have plus everything they could borrow into the market. (I don't own any stocks right now -- I'm just sitting on the sidelines watching the lurid spectacle.)

Another thing I've wondered how about is how many billions of dollars it has cost to sustain this bull market which ultimately can not be sustained. There are all kinds of games that brokers, government agencies, and others with an interest in maintaining the market can do with options, futures, "tape painting", and stock manipulations (such as buying a large block of a stock to force the price up, while other people won't get the same price if they try to immediately sell). Plus, you also have all the costs of advertising investment "opportunities" (Wall Street's phrase, not mine) and running large media outlets like CNBC.

I just wish the markets would crash soon and crash hard, so that this charade ends, but there's no telling when that will happen.
