Well, Richard, it looks to me like the house of cards has received its 'topknot' card today. The antiquated (I don't believe it of course) Glass-Stegal Act has finally been dismembered and the bones are about to be ground and feed to the masses.

I find it ab-so-LUTE-ly fascinating that no one on this thread has even referred to the White House/Congressional 3AM resolution on this matter on here today as best I can tell.

Don't the rest of the great unwashed on GPM even notice that Greenspan now has even tighter control over insurance industries' actuarial reserves as well as the brokerage segregated accounts' balance accounts in a more "hands on way that ever before??"

Restore my faith in your analytical ability, Richard, PULEEEEZE, and reassure me this Greenspan Power Grab didn't escape your notice today!!! PURDY PLEASE?

Ole sad to see Glass-Stegal go BUT just in time for y2k madness O/49r
