I have a site hosted thru hypermart (hypermart was down too friday). I could not receive email thru my site until 2:59 pm (est). AT 2:59 all my emails arrived (even my test ping emails) Since SiliconInvestor and hypermart share similar servers, I suspect the problems ended at around 2:59 pm Friday.

Now everything is working fine.

Its ok with me, but it would be nice if the admitted the problem and posted a status somewhere. Instead I had 3 variables to figure out yesterday

potential causes yesterday (because no status was posted
here or hypermart
1) go2net site had problems
2) my ISP was having problems
3) My computer got mis configured somehow.

It could have been any combination of the three, but as it turns out it was only #1. FWIW I tried calling the support phonenumber at hypermart and guess what: its just an answering machine that tells you to select one of 3 choices, but none of the choices works (translation: no support).
