Very important week coming up for AOL. With Shareholder's meeting on October 28, and the imminent authorization for mores shares, I am looking for a split announcement very shortly (allright, I will speculate following day, October 29, 1999).
AOl and other tech stocks were gaining some up until the CSCO rumour hit CNBC at 3:30 p.m. Short sellers, many times, use fear to shamelesly profit from it.
With the split announcement, AOL will breakout of this nice trading range it has been in the for the last 2 weeks. From that point, how high it goes depends much on what they intend to do as far as acquisitions.
