Ron, each of LSI's division is doing about ~$400M/yr in business, if that might give us some kind of a clue. As for market size, I think in excess of 200M wirless phones are being sold per year. Even if split 3 ways between QCOM, Intel and LSI (personally I think Intel won't be that big a competitor and Qcom has no fab, so that gives LSI an excellent chance to get good market share), that $ is huge.

I think the cat got out of the bag first with LSI saying they were going to be shipping something last Q and then Korea saying that they were getting 30% lower pricing from Qcom's competitors a little bit later.

PS I predict that drive-on-a-chip is going going be another huge winner. But worse thing about that business - giving credit to the customers. The dd is due to consolidate by somebody big going away. I hope LSI won't be left holding the bag on those accounts when they go down.
