Sounds like fun, if you maintain moderation.

I was at Santa Anita recently. (One of my partners
owns horses). Had a nice afternoon.

The third race was a hoot.
One of my other partners and I were following the
recommendations on a tip sheet. I can't recall the
names of the horses, but in the 3rd race, the numbers
were 4, 5 and 6.

He decided that 5 was the horse to bet most heavily
on. I chose 6.

I played a 6/4 and 4/6 Exacta.
He played 5/6 and 6/5.

All 3 horses were in the money, but here's what happened.

First, it's a photo finish between 6 and 5. He's insisting
that 5 won as we wait for the verdict. I told him I thought it was 6. And 6 it was.

So, he's thinking he still won, when there is a steward's inquiry about the behavior of 5.

We wait, wait, wait. I'm giggling since I have a feeling what was going to happen...
and it did.

Final outcome: 6, 4 and 5.
mph--the big winner!<g>

Very positive.
Goes to show how positive thinking
can even affect horse races.....
