re: departure of Gregg Powers. I would like to request that the thread discuss ways of persuading Gregg Powers to return to posting about Q. A thread-wide "petition"? I take it he decided to stop posting because he was miffed about his identity being exposed on the Yahoo boards. However, he posted on SI in his own name. I was never sure why he would necessarily stop posting on SI. Presumably, he had a reason for posting in the first place -- perhaps he enjoyed it; perhaps writing his thoughts out actually helped him to analyze problems he was thinking about; perhaps he valued the interaction with thread members. In any event, whatever the reasons were for his posting originally, I don't see how they went away. Of course, his analyses and contributions were invaluable and also enjoyable. Any ideas? -- idler.
