BLTI is currently in Cologne,Germany for the world's largest
dental conference. They have been inundated with interest for
their Millenium Laser.Quite a few large distributors in Europe
and the Pacific Rim are expressing more than a passing interest.
This market wants news, sales, earnings, not smoke, but I would like
to point out one last time my rationale, and at this price is a
little more expensive than a lottery ticket. Two days ago Phillips NV
said it is launching a new electric toothbrush meant to remove plaque.
Phillips said the world oral care market has a retail value of
$8billion-$8.5billion.Electric toothbruhses make up 5%-10% of
the market and Phillips said the market is"growing rapidly".
For the sake of argument the market for these devices is
approx.$600mm annually. So?BLTI is hoping to initially sell
200,000 LaserBrushes @$70 gross to them,"my numbers",so
perhaps $14,000,000 gross revenues over a relatively short
period of time.That could equal.$.50 per share,give it a
multiple of 20x=$10.In 1997 they should derive $4mm in sales
in Germany from their Millenium, and $1-1.5mm in dental products,
which can put them at a break even in the 4th quarter. If they
get an FDA approval other than hard tissue, say in the dermatology
area, then sales will go through the roof.Next year perhaps, kids
don't like to brush their teeth, but what if they had a laser
toothbrush that they could turn out the lights in the bathroom
and play with the laser light, ala Darth Vader, and perhaps, brush
their teeth also?Why couldn't they sell 1million of these,and
remeber with each brush you will need about $40 per year of
BLTI's toothpaste which interacts with the bacteria, which directs
the laser to it and kills it,and brighens, and whitens teeth also.
The bottom line is when all of this unfolds you have a stock that
could be worth $10-$20 over the next 18 months, not a terrible shot
even in this envirnment, and what is the bad news, alousy market for
small cap stocks, which if it ever does change, and it will you could
get paid in one hell of a hurry. That's my story and I stick to it.
