I don't know, pezz, not everyone has the strength of character to emerge unscarred emotionally from such events. Chalu2 could very well be right. Perhaps you just had the strength of personality to handle having less discipline and parental involvement, or perhaps it affected you in a different way. Perhaps the lack of a centralized family was part of the reason you protested against the government so strongly. Your frustration was given focus and direction, these kids didn't have that.
