Yougang, thanks for that Forbes article, here's some comments:
Intel is expected to roll out a 733- and 667-MHz version of its Pentium III chip later this year. These new versions of Pentium III chip use a 100-MHz system bus, and 256KB on-die full-speed L2 Cache. In total about nine new versions of Pentium III are due out this fourth quarter.

This certainly makes it sound like the 733 will NOT be released Monday. Kind of makes sense since oven Intel buddy Mako (sharky) couldn't get his 600 MHz cUmine running that fast.

Accompanying the new Pentiums would be a new chipset, Caramel 840, which uses Rambus-technology. The chipsets will likely be sold for $250 a piece and have none of the technical issues being faced by the ill-fated Camino 820 chipset.

Another report said that the Carmel motherboard would cost $250. That certainly seemed low to me at the time (dual CPU, double channel RDRAM, net chipset, etc.). At $250 for just the chipset, you can forget about any OEM's using it in single-CPU workstations. Also, any Carmel based systems have to have TWO RDRAM modules to work. I doubt RDRAM will even be offered in 64M modules. 2x128M with the RDRAM premium will cost at least $700.

So why no 750 on Monday? Probably because there won't be any 733 (CuMine) then either.
