One team was made up of some nice teenagers who no fault of their own couldn't stay in. The alley was going to charge the league the $60 for the rest of their lane fees. The league was going after the boy who joined the army. The one thing you don't want in basic training is to come to the attention of your CO. I started a fund with $20 figuring some of the other 43 people might kick in the rest. A few giving a lousy buck. I paid the other $40. The fights and quibbling over one place when the payback was $2 per placement. Now bowling can be fun but some of the league people can be pains in the butt.
