If they have a representative there, maybe it will be to try to figure out which of the latest industry buzzwords and trends to use in promoting the stock of the next "company" to begin operating out of that office in Vancouver. Maybe this next company will feature 300 scientists working on their 50 international patents in Uzbekistan and Tunisia, whereas corporate headquarters will of course be located in a P.O. Box in some techy-sounding U.S. city. Its domain name registration will link it to the guy behind the curtain in Vancouver, if investors bother to look.
