CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS?

If you work for a company that is about to IPO, they usually let employees and their friends and family buy shares PRIOR to the IPO. Do all companies do this? How many shares is each employee usually allowed to purchase? If a company has about 5000 employees, how many shares will each employee be able to buy? Do companies base the number allowed on years of service, position, or both? Any feedback will be appreciated.

I remain,
