Terrence, you have good ideas. The problem with having state confederacies is that we would eventually end up with squabbling, internecine fighting between the states like Bosnia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Herzegovina (substitute the names, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, California, etc. in those places). You are right, the differences between the Democrats and Republicans seem distinct when they are campaigning but when in office, these differences blend and blur.
Our basic rights diminish as our population increases. The fed government find more people have to be "controlled." Less regulation the better we are. Hang in there. Greener |
