No problem, Nancy,

however, if you like desert with mountains, have you considered Big Bend National Park? Although you will not find much snow there...

All in one park you can:
1. walk one of many miles of trails on the desert floor.
2. or climb Emory Peak at 7825 feet.
3. drive up to Chisos Basin and walk out to the "window" where you can see for many many miles, just watch out for mountain lions.
4. Grab a canoe or raft and raft through one of many canyons on the Rio Grande. The Santa Elena Canyon offers sheer 1500 ft cliffs and is spectacular.(Also an easy place to get careless)
5. Visit and sit in one of the Rio's hot springs. You can sit in the hot water and fall off into the river to cool off.
6. Stop in Terlingua for a tour around an old mining town.Very interesting history.
7. Wander around Lajitas and visit with some of the local artists and the famous mayor(who is a goat....literally).
8. Stay in the Calvary Post Motel built on the site of General Black Jack Pershing's old Calvery Post..
9. Cross by row boat into Santa Elena Mexico and have lunch at one of the restaurants there.
10. See some of God's special ordered sunsets........

just a little corner of Texas....better go see it before pollution takes it all away...
