Bat Man on CPQ Dell.
--
"BATTIPAGLIA: Let's talk about Compaq and Dell
(DELL). I feel that the PC manufacturers are trading
stocks. Trading based upon enthusiasm or lack of
enthusiasm for PC sales and what the analysts see
out there. Both companies are addressing the
competitive marketplace, they can be successful,
they will be survivors. Right now, the market is
indifferent to the companies, cautious about the
fourth quarter. It is probably a good time to buy them
based on the theory we'll get through the Y2K
concern on the fourth quarter. Whatever is not bought
in 40 will be bought in first. These stocks can run as
they run Internet strength you can get out of them.
