I have spent hours researching this one. It is hard to nail down, when you can't read Chinese. I still have not been able to find anything specific to FHTV. So..I started verifying some of the other companies and information in the fax. Here is what I came up with on Telesat/Cosmos. This is really confusing. I would STRONGLY suggest you print this page before going to the links. This will help you follow my directions on each page and maybe my logic!! LOL LOL 1. Here is a press release announcing the opening of Cosmos in Macau. Scroll down to the 6-22-99 releases and hit the one with the word Satellite in the title. macau.gov.mo 2. Both the PR and the fax talk about the COSMOS Travel Channel. According to the fax, FHTV's contract with COSMOS allows them to broadcast Home Shopping programs on this channel. It also gives them the right to sell advertising and split the profits. I think I found a web site for this travel channel. Scroll to the bottom of this link and you will see a e-mail address for COSMOSTV, under that you will find a URL for MS-TV. Hit that link and it will take you to the Macau Travel Channel Home Page. On that page hit the white English title (Macau STV) and it will take you to a site in English. The English site is over a year old, It does not look like they are updating it like the Chinese version. It does give you a good overview of what the initial plans for the channel were. It also states that the channel will be broadcast through APstar. This satellite is owned by APT. The fax said Telesat controls APT in China. It looks like the English site was made for investor information. I'm guessing it was made before the group that owns COSMOS came in to the picture. Do not overlook the links on the top of the English pages, they are just numbered 1, 2 etc. ms-tv.com 3. Just to give you an idea of some of the power and money behind COSMOS. Check this link out on Portugal Telecom which is one of the owners. This is a big company that trades on the NYSE. At the bottom of this page, you will find a blue box with links to some of PT's companies. Hit the TVCabo link. The pages are not in English, but you will get an idea by the graphics of what PT has been doing in the TV Broadcasting area. When you pull up the TVCabo homepage..hit the TVCabo Online Link..it has links buried in the things in the living room.
