The context seems to have been the article in the SJ Merc about Cisco's "Virtual Close"--about Larry Carter, the Cisco CFO, having complete control and up-to-date information wrt. the financial state of the whole enterprise. So, now I remember, as you asked me to do so. Your post to me is now bookmarked. You said, on 2/3/99-- Before the year ends we will see a profit warning from Cisco. These investments geared up to branch into the telecoms segment aren't going tp pay back just as the customers' premises boxes had (so far). You've been warned! I don't think you are right, but time will tell. You have just 10 more weeks for your prophecy to be valid. I'll send you a note on 1/1/2000.
