jmac: I don't detect anyone trying to manipulate stocks through this bulletin board. That kind of hubris is reserved for Yahoo. What a joke - can you imagine anyone trying to manipulate the market through these threads which can't represent more than 1/100 of 1 percent of any given company? I find that these threads are valuable in combatting rumors and nutty hyperbole because of the depth of knowledge concerning the various companies' products and the markets that they address. The people who post their war stories, i.e. I bought at the bottom and sold at the top, are really wasting the board's time and probably have resulted in people going elsewhere for their info which is unfortunate. I find that if you filter out these useless posts that there is a lot of insight to be gained from these theads in developing new investing ideas or staying with and adding to old ones. JFD
