Hi Jack,
Let me echo Ari and thank you for your work as "auditor" of the current FIRST FAST-1 MASS PRODUCTION ORDER CONTEST.
I have had a bit of time to reflect on the current situation now that Oct. 20, 1999 has slipped away [ the last date where yours truly had a ghost of a chance to win the current contest ]. After talking to my medical / investment advisor, I have taken her suggestion and have reduced by valium dose and placed by rose coloured glasses on the coffee table beside my rosary beads and lucky rabbit's foot.
Side effects of this new "approach" to my investments in general and S.P.E.C.U.L.A.T.I.V.E. investments like PYNG in particular have led to the following conclusions:
a) although things are truly improving [ ie. real progress has been made on the road to mass production ] we must still afford PYNG some "margin for error {MFE}" in PR statements about real mass production "commercial" sales forecasts,
b) back in late 1994, forecasts [ for "real" commercial sales ] might have had a MFE of say 5 years [ I'm trying to be nice here and a tad hopeful as this would mean a "real" order by 99/12/31],
c) here, still barely in the "olde" millennium I'd say the MFE has shrunk to 8 months which of course means August 2000.
Now, I know that many of us hope for better then that but in the great scheme of things "S_it Happens" and delays do and will continue to occur. Timeframes are always bothersome to investors but I have come to the conclusion that Mike Jacob's has probably sufferred more then many [ but not all ] of PYNG investors .... unless of course he also has rose coloured glasses and a good supply of mind control substances to insure that "reality" is always acceptable. And, I'm sure PYNG will consider the FAST-1 a complete success even if it takes to 2005 to establish the product.
As they say, "everything's relative". Your comment that PYNG's PR's seem to come in waves with long spaces in between is true by comparrisson to say AIR CANADA who seem to be putting out anywhere from 1 to 4 PR's daily ........ but compared to other stocks in the same class as PYNG, PYNG may have quite a respectable level of PR communications......for such a tiny company.
LOR
P.S.- "DOC" says it may take some time before I'm back to "normal" so if I appear to be "sweet on PYNG" in the above ..... just wait awhile if you are pining for the old << LOR >>.
