We live in Edmonton, Alberta and purchased two humidifiers over a year ago. What a pleasure compared to the old style. The foam would get so clogged up with minerals as we have hard water. It's a pleasure to use these. This company will also follow up if there are any problems. We have a slight leak at the bottom (shut of valve) and, although I didn't understand the water pressure explanation, we just took the parts down to Atco and got replacements free (a cap was provided to prevent this). Also, Atco has just recently renewed their contract for THREE years. Our gas company would never have done this if the product didn't measure up.

I spoke with the company twice this week regarding the humidifier and the stock. The company was prompt in returning my call and assuring me that once the part was replaced everything would work well. Also spoke with management and they are already receiving calls from Home Depots in the U.S. All that is needed is finalization from Head Office, which should be forthcoming soon. Apparently in the States, stand alone humidifiers are available, but not models like this. As "dry nose and throat season" has already begun here, this should be a great seller.

One more point about the company; they look like they are prepared to expand and improve when necessary. A suburb of Edmonton has a lot of minerals in their water and Avante have designed an automatic flush attachment which automatically flushes the water in the pan every 12 hours.

With manufacturing in the U.S., this should enable them to ship promptly.
