OK, Cobalt was right. I do have a 3D life. I was not running from a fight.
My intention was to leave this alone as I have been accused of beating it to death, but...
If you recall this public prayer thing started with me, among others, not liking prayer at public functions, such as coerced prayer at football games. I then posted Mathew 6,5 in which Jesus says..
5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Then you said that Jesus prayed in public, and I asked for examples, which you gave, and I conceded that they were examples. They were not, however, examples of Jesus leading a group prayer, as at a football game, or graduation ceremony. They were examples of Jesus praying by himself, and it is not even clear if he was being observed.
While it is true that I only asked for an example of Jesus praying publicly, in the context of the whole discussion, I don't think that I was out of line by asking for examples where he led a group prayer. I'm not weaseling out of anything. I've been remodeling my bathroom. And I don't hate the concept of a god. I see no evidence of it, and I don't like to see people believe in mythology at the expense of reality.
