BZ2 Interview:

>>>>Although few PC games have a mythic lore surrounding them, one of those few is Activision's Battlezone. Ask anyone in the gaming industry what phrase is inextricably linked to Battlezone and they're apt to say, "A great game that no one bought." As one of the first games to blend together fast-paced 3D Quake-like action with Command and Conquer-esque strategic resource management and base building, Battlezone came along at a time when everyone in the industry was trying to figure out how to blend the gap between traditional top-down strategy and 3D technology.<<<<<<<
Holiday Line-Up:
well-rounded.com
>>>As the holiday season draws closer and closer, gaming companies are turning any convenient spotlight on their upcoming products. Activision is the latest company to hit the road, wooing editors with free drinks, hands-on demos and ... well, more free drinks. WRE got a closer look at a handful of the company's planned 1999 holiday offerings (some, such as Interstate 82 and Vampire: The Masquerade, were unfortunately not on display) and brought back some new pictures to share. Thumb through the following screen shot galleries for new looks at what could be some of the season's hottest titles. We've got more than a dozen pictures, including some from the single-player bot-based play of Quake III: Arena (above and left). All of the screen grabs are from the PC versions of the games, with the exception of Vigilante 8: Second Offense, which is a Dreamcast title.
By the way, the one thing we can't share is the Interstate 82 soundtrack, but trust us when we tell you that the new Devo songs and original music will transport you back to the 80s as seamlessly as the original tunes in Interstate 76 did. That one's due in November.<<<<<<
