Mining has nothing to do with identifying con games.

Ole 49r came back out here and starting spamming a bunch of threads with this "wonderful opportunity" she claimed to have been working on with her buddy Roy.

But she forgot to mention that each person paid $100 for a "slice" of a 24 slice trommel load, not the entire trommel load. And since each trommel load is "claimed"(note past yields should not be construed as future results) to yield an average of two ounces each. That make the cost of each ounce retrieved as average of $1,200/ounce or 4 times the current market price.

I really don't doubt she follows the particulars of the gold market closer than most of us. But that doesn't negate the irresponsibility I opine she displayed in trying to convince people to subsidize Roy's mining operation via her connections out here on the internet.

And subsidize is exactly what we're talking about because if her buddy was able to fully exploit that claim he was working, the last thing he would do is be willing to sell ANY TROMMEL loads full of that gold laden earth he has ownership of.

No.. if is far more valuable to the both of them if they can convince unsuspecting dupes to send them their hard earned cash in exchange for the dubious pleasure of having Roy dump a load of gravel their way (which he apparently does for himself several times a day anyhow), and then hope that he's honest enough to no to shuffle around exactly who owns the proceeds from each particular trommel load.

Unless one is actually on site, there certainly is nothing by Roy's personal guarantee that any gold that was derived from a trommel run actually landed in the buyers particular "slice".

I don't have be president of a gold mining company to understand the mechanics and loopholes that are inherent in this scheme.

And neither should you.

Btw, have you sent 49r your $100 yet for your own personal "slice of life"??

Regards,

Ron
