Ali,

re:"2. "The Coppermine inside the test machine was a 667 MHz one, overclocked to 733 MHz (no multiplier lock)!"
What? Intel does not have enough 733 parts to
send samples to reviewers? Cool..."

"So, how about the 28 million transistor PIII EB? Well, you won't believe this. The Coppermine inside the testmachine was a 667 MHz one, overclocked to 733 MHz (no multiplier lock)! Intel guaranteed that it was perfectly safe to overclock. Makes me think back to the time when the first AMD K6-2 333 MHz (overclocked 300's) review systems arrived..
There are not so many real 733 MHz CPU's out there, and to make sure that the big OEM's dispose of sufficient 733 MHz review models, Intel resorted to overclocking."

"First of all, a big thanks to my friends at PCMagazine-Belgium, for giving the opportunity to Ace's hardware to test the Coppermine, and for all the assistance they gave me. Thanks!"

The review machine was not even a real 733? A machine sent to PC Magazine-Belgium?

Forget the benchmark discussion, iNTEL can't get enough real 733s out the door?

"Makes me think back to the time when the first AMD K6-2 333 MHz (overclocked 300's) review systems arrived.."

iNTEL worrying about AMD instead of worrying about iNTEL!
Sound's like iNTEL hasn't learned yet, maybe next quarter.
Time for some management changes at iNTEL. Can't execute lately.

" JUST WHO THE HECK DOES intEL THINK IT IS...pauL'S CONCEPTUALIZATION OF AMD ? "

Where's Bob Graham when you need him?

iNTEL knows what's best for it's customers.......

sTAY tOOOned!
