"Gemstar is now a gorilla."
Merlin has spoken! Someone please post the URL for the gorilla theme, to announce to the world the thread's second confirmed primate birth announcement. (It was posted for Q back in the spring--April, perhaps?)
This brings us right back, however, to the actual/perceptual GG distinction, plus the linkage between the TALC and the market. I mean, not twenty posts before he officially and formally declared GMST a gorilla, Merlin was distinctly lukewarm in response to LL's query about whether the stock was overvalued at present, whether it made sense to buy more now, etc.
My question is this: if we have confirmed gorilla identity but the market has not yet cottoned on to it, isn't this the IDEAL time to bet the house? Wouldn't it be like jumping into Q in February rather than March, if one had advance knowledge of the Ericsson deal? I'm not saying I fully believe this, but I can't think of many good arguments to the contrary.
Furthermore, just to tie all my current obsessions in, if we have a newborn gorilla on our hands which might slumber for a few months before being discovered by the herd, wouldn't GMST LEAPS calls be the ideal way to make the play?
