Dear CNBC Update: i still don't have cable, but if someone says something to make me want it my mind is still open. As it stands, some shares of GE & Comcast are enough money spent on it for now, til 1st week in November anyway.
Cable Stock Patterns on Intradays Online keeps me enough In The Loop on it for now. Watching It Close enough...Still not sure if cable won't be another 8-Track or BetaMax or like DVD seems to be doing already if you know what i mean.
So determining the true product lifecycle position is difficult while wading thru quagmires of manips giving advisement to ignore inroads of satellites, high-speed-over-copper software, online pay-per-view & such. But for as long as cable stocks are doing nicely, who cares?
Accessibility questions aside, good recent cable news -
The Mayberry reruns timeslot is now at noon naptime!! That's a big improvement over last year's choice between either missing Opie & Andy or falling asleep @ The Close. A friend of mine blew some CMGI trades real bad last winter because of the time confliction. Compliments to cable's customer service for their response to those complaints.
Some more such on-track stress-reducing program decisions for stockwatchers...Just Might Make Me Think Seriously about pick up the phone, call The Cable Guy & say "OK You Win, C'mon over here & install that squawk box".
IT'$ THE BIG PROBLEMA (not the forty bucks a month but...)
The "Stress Is Money, Money Is Time" additional $$$$$ -
the nervous-wreck medicine,
recreation timeloss learning codes & operation of gizmo,
losses on stock profits from bum ticker & market steers,
subliminal detection & filtering software,
long-distance calls to Investor Relations,
replacement for at-hand frustration equipment breakages,
etc. -
until I see a big decrease in such high non-deductible stress-related expenses inherent from StockShoppingShows content & programming conflicts -
i won't be a subscriber to cable tv.
Joana
