Good Morning Sonny,

The Globex futures are up over three points and on the good news is this report which was released a short while ago about Dell

>>It's official. DELL is #1 in the U.S. according to BOTH IDC and Dataquest. The second to last paragraph throws the BS flag on IBM's Y2K worries.

Dell jumps to No. 1 in U.S. in Q3 as PC sales soar<

Would like to see the market confirm a real rallying mode by not giving up its gains as it does so many times after a rally day. Since October is almost history now the focus may be on the Christmas Holidays and this should be good news for retail.

The almost 8% yield on Philip Morris and 15% on RJR seems almost compelling. The government cannot afford for these companies to go out of business.

I am hoping for a stock split with Qualcom. AOL should be on a good rebound now with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming. IBM has been my disappoinment stock but am holding on until the last life boat of the Titanic is unwound. Nah it is not that bad. The Nasdaq gave up much of its gain during the last 45 mintues as I was watching CNBC and it was due to some rumor about Cisco not going to make its earnings. Sounds like the usual baloney that we are used to hearing. Cisco is up over a point in premarket trading.
