Alan, I read the news and IMO, Normet is getting the record straight because of the potential legal implications....what I think they are saying is that they FOUND ROUND PARTICLES OF GOLD...AND THEY DID NOT MENTION THE WORD PLACER/ALLUVIAL AS THE SOURCE FOR THIS GOLD....that in my opinion is a bit different than your statement, the way I read, Normet does not elaborate on the possible source of the gold...period....since there is no core left to do further investigation, the gold source remain a mistery ....hmmm what was the reason that Bre-X had for not spliting the core in half?????.....
I noticed that Bre-X attempted today to explain the core handling and assay procedure, but they are still not able to produce a single hard evidence, after so many miles of core....not a single meter left for verification???......also, it would be nice if they elaborate on Strathcona's initial reports, WHY DO THEY THINK THAT THE DEPOSIT IS UNDERSTATED AND THERE WAS IMPROPER HANDLING OF CORE AND SAMPLING?????...I am surprised that nobody talks about this and they spend hours talking from spelling to decomposing bodies(actually some of the posts are quite funny....I do appreciate them, I think we need them)
