Warren Buffett on natgas and power generation, things we have talked about before (he is buying MidAmerican)>>
Buffett is betting that MidAmerican's natural gas and
electricity business in the U.S. and U.K. and its power plants in
Asia are a better long-term investment than its stock performance
suggests, analysts said. The shares have plunged 21 percent this
year, compared with a 5 percent gain in the NYSE utilities index.
''We buy good companies with outstanding management and good
growth potential at a fair price, and we're willing to wait
longer than some investors for that potential to be realized,''
Buffett said. ''This investment is right in our sweet spot.''
