Truff, that's right...foreigners have not done much selling of U.S. equities yet. if they had, the stock market would be a lot lower already. it remains a worrisome massive supply overhang at this point.
as to the recovery in the Yen, has nobody stopped to consider that it may have to do with the recovery of Japan's economy? the move in the Yen was too big to be based purely on technicalities. it indicates a more fundamental shift imo.
anyway, thanks for the interesting article...i agree btw that if foreign fund managers continue to heavily overweight U.S. stocks in their portfolios as they have done since the beginning of this year they would help to support the market. the question is, will they continue?
