Standard Energy Talking Trash with City of Philadelphia

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard Energy Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: STDE) announced today that it is in discussions with representatives of the City of Philadelphia regarding the potential benefits of locating a Standard Energy owned Trashfuel Project Plant in the City. The Project would include construction and operation of a state-of-the-art City garbage-fed recycle unit and a cellulosic material (Celmat)-fed ethanol production unit. Standard Energy's proprietary Biofuels Technology would substantially increase recycling opportunities for the City's municipal solid waste, while generating new jobs in construction and plant operation. It would also represent a major economic development initiative in the City.

"The City of Philadelphia has expressed enthusiasm about the potential long-term benefits of using the Biofuels Technology and the job-creating potential of the Trashfuel Project," said Dean Rowell, president of Standard Energy. "Discussions are ongoing regarding this Project with Water Commissioner Kumar Kishinchand and Streets Commissioner Lawrence Moy."

Standard Energy, historically in the gas and oil business, has developed its Biofuels Technology to extract and recover all of the inorganic materials in city garbage for recycling while the organic Celmat materials recovered from the balance of the processed garbage are manufactured into renewable ethanol fuel, a gasoline octane additive. For further information contact Standard Energy president Dean Rowell at 801-364-9000.
