I agree that one can't come to religion based on reason alone. That is the great mistake of the bible literalists. Maybe what separates those who believe we are part spirit from those who think we are simply a conglomeration of molecules is the way we perceive what we really are. Some would say that acknowledging the sacred makes us fully human. Others would say the sense of the sacred is folly. People who say that, imo, are selling themselves short.
