idler: What you say makes great sense. There is no question that no one knows where the market or the Q specifically will be at the end of the day, let alone next month or next year.

Some cushion for safety therefore is a practical approach.

My only small point is that among the stock investment alternatives I am aware of and follow, the Q ranks as the stock which I think has the best prospects relative to the market for the next 3 to 5 years.

Others such as JDSU or SFE, etc are also excellent holdings IMO. But that is just in my specific situation and based on my own due diligence. Not advice to anyone.

And I have found that being "out of the market" is actually often more risky than being fully invested. Lost opportunities (or opportunity cost) are often not considered in the equation when weighing alternatives.

But to each his own.

The best guide is the ability to sleep at night. Varies greatly by individual.

Best and good luck.
