As one of the original ISLD bulls on the thread, I'll pull rank and send congrats all around. Have to thank techbuzz (see earliest posts) for the early comments comparing ISLD to Sandpiper and Akamai. Added more this morning on the news.

On a more sobering note, are we viewing the ISLD/Sandpiper merger as a sign of strength or weakness given the AKAM tornado? It does seem that Sandpiper sold itself fairly cheaply given the expected AKAM valuation. djane

To all, last Wednesday, I attended a very good Ziff Davis-sponsored conference in SF called "The Next 20 Years"
with a technology focus. John Gage (Sun) was an impressive speaker. At the Sandpiper booth, I talked to their rep
about their distributed local content technology and strategy. When I mentioned Digital Island and Akamai, the
Sandpiper rep said, "Yeah, it's a drag that Digital Island has entered our space. They're pretty good." FYI. Sandpiper
and Akamai are going to be very hot IPOs in the next couple months and will help highlight the value in ISLD. djane
