Tench, Thank you for the numbers. Indeed I didn't include UDMA66 and USB. UDMA mostly becuase you are VERY unlikely to ever get close to the theroretical max in 'real' use. Also UDMA66 isn't worth tlaking about in a high-end system. Those use scsi on the PCI bus. USB well USB is a joke for bandwidth. Does the 840 support PCI66. If it does I will give you that oversight. The point stands though.. you pay for more performance than you could ever hope to use. Kinda like taking your ferarri to the grocery store IMHO. Steve
