I don't think that Intel will meet street Q1 whispers or even the first call 2.07 after their January price cut. In Q4-96, the OCT price cut has been eliminated. Therefore, there was no price protection coverage fee from Intel to her customers. Both combinations made Intel Q4/96 2.23 earring.

In Q1-97, everything back to normal with price-cut and price protection discount from price-cut. AMD reported good sale volume of K5 in Q1. Cyrix has been doing great to sell 6x86 too. While, the overall PC volume was not siqnificantly increased from Q4/96. The gains of AMD and Cyrix should cause the decrease of Intel CPU in Q1/97. Therefore, I doubt if Intel could meet 2.07 of the First Call. As Frank pointed out, there might already some leaks about the short of EPS to guide INTC to slide smoothly without causing the crash as yesterday and today.

With the drops of INTC in the last two trading days, it makes me very comfortable with my APR puts. My Intel puts are of small amount. The main purpose of them is to hedge my CYRX investment.

Thanks for your concern! I will be extremely careful to sell these puts at the BEST prices for the top dollars. ;-)
