to: Nulldog from: truedog ND, another point of history that nihil does not seem to grasp, is that the U.S. Army was held up at the Elbe River for 3 days so the Soviets could catch up to us from the other direction, and both groups could enter Berlin at the same time. Except for this demanded delay, we could have been in Berlin and had a hot meal waiting for the Ruskies when they got there. For anybody's edification, I was alive and avidly reading newspapers at the time all this happened (when newspapers were honest in their reporting). I do not repeat hearsay. Thanks for letting me use your post for ranting on a little further. ^ ^ ^TD
