MAYNARD, Mass., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- SeaChange International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEAC - news)today announced outstanding financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 1999. Revenues for the quarter were $21.4 million, compared to $17.8 million for the third quarter of 1998, which represents a 20.5% increase year to year. The net income for the quarter was $374,000, or $.03 per
share. This compares to a net loss of $1.1 million, or $.08 loss per share, in the third quarter of 1998.``Our sequential growth continues, with a significant increase over last years' quarterly revenue, in spite of our typical seasonality,' said Bill Styslinger, president and CEO, SeaChange International. ``This quarter we strengthened our position as a leader in digital television systems as our broadened product lines gained continued support of television operators around the world. In fact, international revenue contributed its largest share ever as a total of system revenue. Also, in addition to our broadcast and other well established broadband systems, we announced new efforts in interactive television. In China, Guangdong cable will be delivering VOD services for educational applications. And Telewest in the UK is also moving forward with SeaChange for VOD.'
