The overwhelming number of options contracts expire worthless each month. :-) I attended a seminar last week conducted by a senior instructor from the Options Institute of the CBOE. He began by stating he wanted to dispel some myths. One was regarding worthless expirations. His statistics were: 30% expire, 10% are exercised, and 60% are closed. I was surprised. Tom
