Steve, <Athlon IS STILL the FASTEST CPU IN THE WORLD for my applications.>

Which applications would that be, Steve?

Don't take this as a flame; I honestly want to know. For me, my home system runs nothing but games, MS Office, and Netscape. For a couple of my good friends, 3D Studio MAX is it, which is why I pay close attention to those benchmarks. (It was also the first benchmark that convinced me that Athlon was for real.) At work, we run simulations using HPUX machines, and our desktop units (currently nothing more than PPro NT boxes) run Netscape, MS Outlook (yuk), and Exceed.
