Wei, found an answer to the SCSI phase out to FC. This is from a 10/21 IBD interview w/ QLGC's CEO H.K. Desia IBD: Will SCSI go away? Desia: SCSI will grow at a rate of 20% for the next three years or so. SCSI will still be used inside the (computer) box. Fibre channle is for the box to box data transfer. SCSI is going to be here for awhile. In fact we're seeing growth in our SCSi chip sales with our new Ultra3 SCSI technologies. But SCSI disks drives will eventually move to the fibre channel. In the second half of 2000 fibre channel will replace SCSI (in drives). --- Well that's from the horse's mouth. regards, dkg
