If you use real-time quotes, you should have TICK, TIKI, and TRIN in front of you at all times! Of these, TRIN is the most useful for detecting major turns in market direction. TIKI can be a good (very) short term indicator, as it will usually move before TICK. If you use RealTick III (PC Quote 6.0, MB Trading, etc.) the symbols are $TICK, $TIKI, adn $TRIN. Other quote vendors - ask your vendor.
