You are more uninformed about India than I had thought; no offense intended. The governments of India and Pakistan have been coordinating a fight against a Texas entity that has illegally patented "Basmati", as a result of which India and Pakistan would no longer be allowed to use the term "Basmati" for their unique fragrant rice.
