Freeus,

Mike, do you think either Citrix or Siebel systems are potential gorillas? If so, is there a good "buy in " price for them?

A lot of folks have long proclaimed Siebel a gorilla but I'm not ready to do that yet. I'd like to be convinced without a doubt that an ERP player can no longer unseat the company. Right now Siebel is the leading contender in my opinion.

Citrix is clearly a potential gorilla. Emphasize the word, potential.

I've yet to figure out a good buy-in price for potential or established gorillas. That comment will no doubt draw a comment from my Uncle Frank (if he hasn't already responded), but we have a perpetual friendly disagreement about it. Well, I'm hoping it's not perpetual because I haven't given up on the possibility that some day I'lll convince him that he's wrong. :)

Seriously, any time I can buy a leading candidate for gorilladom when the PE is about the same as the rate of growth, I think that's about as good as an opportunity as we'll ever see in this robust market. As the PE becomes greater than the growth, only you can decide how high you want to reach.

Hope this helps.
