Rambus Thermal Issues, Rambus thermal issues are unconventional and the whole concept of thermal management for DRAM is new. The cost of thermal solution can be as high as $20 or even more. This is HUGE. Also there is more extra cost associated with installation which is yet to be determined. When I initially heard about the thermal requirements of Rambus I thought they could be a "show stopper". I did not mention it here due to NDA constraints. Of course they have not proved to be so but IMO they remain a very large obstacle. Mani
