mmm, not really since I would never attempt to change the mind or heart of a True Believer.

However you raise an interesting question - is Stockett some poor Jean Valjean who was sent to prison for 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread, and am I a heartless Javert intent on hounding him forever long after he's atoned for his small sin that was overwhelmingly punished? I think Larry would love that analogy (Les Miserables if you don't recall the names) but alas, it's not like that at all.

As the Internet gives scam artists and scalliwags extremely easy and cheap ways of finding sheep to fleece so does it offer powerful means of deterrence. Asking valid questions about announced plans or incredible opportunities provides a public way for counters to be made if they are necessary.

I have many things I enjoy, not the least is my new grandkid, and other activities well away from this computer, since retiring early from an honorable business career that created jobs for quite a few. I have given to my community and in this sense I think of my participation on SI and elsewhere as also making contributions.

We diverge in our opinions, Fred, and that's OK. It's a First Amendment right as you'll recall.

It is not you who is invested in Sinclare that post for.
