I am sorry I disappeared, my wife came in, and I lost interest in 2 dimensional life<VBG>....The modernization of the Church was important, even if all of the results were not good. The current pontiff acknowledges a debt to Vatican II by taking the name John Paul, and I believe that without Vatican II, the Church would not have been prepared to have taken so strong a role in the world as it did under his guidance. I cannot intelligently comment on the Fatima controversy....As for Bush, I think he did an important job in leading the West through the devolution of the Soviet Empire, and that he was right to prosecute Desert Storm, and that both consolidated Reagan's legacy....
