<Micron seems to think that the 840 is "fast as hell.">
Eahh, the "fast as hell" makes 2.5% performance gain
over 100MHz BX:

No need to throw additional "evidences" about the
evident.
Micron feels this way because i820 does not work,
and VIA-133 is dog-slow, slower than PC100 440BX.
They have little choice if any.

The only thing Intel needed for a good winning
platform was to add few gates to make 2:1 lock
for AGP bus on i440BX. They must be either very
smartass politicians or total idiots not to see
this performance solution. They apparently decided
to bend over the PC industry one more time with
the RAMBUST. It is paying back now.
