Mark Z,

Same problem as you, only in reverse also. Covered a short position Friday during the debacle (over the phone). Account is showing I covered the short position, but now also shows that I am long an equal amount of shares in the account. Weird. Because the Account History page is perfecto, but the positions page is WAY off.

Funny thing is, the short I covered (the one that I am shown as long in my positions page) is up 2 bucks today...wonder what would happen if I entered a sell order to close out that additional position...of course, I can't tell because Schwab servers are dreadfully slow this morning (and I am accessing them using a very reliable DSL connection).

I made a tidy profit shorting SCH from 44 to 28...wondering if I should go back in and short SCH again...this is pretty pathetic.
